 LIST A - INDEFINITE VALIDITY EVIDENCE (Ongoing Excuse)
 
 SINGLE Document Evidence

British Passport
EU or Swiss Passport or ID Card (showing the holder to be a national of that country)
British, EU or Swiss Permanent Residence Permit or Registration Certificate
British, EU or Swiss Permanent Residence Card issued to a member of the applicant’s family
Biometric Immigration Document endorsed with Indefinite Leave to Remain
Passport of Travel Document endorsed with Indefinite Leave to Remain
 
 MULTIPLE Document Evidence of Right to Work
 
The following may only be accepted when provided in conjunction with; an official document issued by the Government or a previous employer, showing the applicants permanent NI Number
 
Immigration Document endorsed with Indefinite Leave to Remain
UK Birth Certificate (that includes the name of at least one parent)
Full UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Ireland Adoption Certificate (that includes the name of at least one parent)
Certificate of Registration or Naturalisation as a British Citizen
Home Office or Border and Immigration Agency Letter indicating Indefinite Leave to Remain
 
 
 LIST B - 12 MONTH VALIDITY EVIDENCE (12 Month Excuse)
 
SINGLE Document
 
Passport or Travel Document endorsed with “limited leave to remain” and allowed to engage in the specific work – provided it does not require a work permit.
Biometric Immigration Document endorsed with “limited leave to remain” and allowed to engage in the specific work” – provided it does not require a work permit.
Residence Card or document issued by the Home Office or Border and Immigration Agency to a family member of an EU or Swiss national

PLUS
Passport or Travel Document endorsed with “limited leave to remain”  OR Home Office or Border and Immigration Agency Letter indicating Limited Leave to Remain
 
A Certificate of Application – less than 6 months old – issued to a family member of an EU or Swiss national granting permission to take work

Evidence of verification by Border and Immigration Agency Employer Checking Service
 
An Application Registration Card issued by the Home Office or Border and Immigration Agency stating the holder is entitled to take work

Evidence of verification by Border and Immigration Agency Employer Checking Service
 
An Immigration Status Document indicating “limited leave to remain” and allowed to engage in the specific work
PLUS
an official document issued by the Government or a previous employer, showing the applicants permanent NI Number
